What else is new? Not a whole lot. I have rebuilt some the menus here.
Right now it is kind of hard to think, It is 6:48pm in Vegas and I just woke up.
That is not unusual for Las Vegas, but I feel disoriented right now.
I was downtown last night at the crap table. I won a little. I am not a
gambler. In fact this is the second time I have gambled since I got here.
I use to come here when I was around 15 years of age. My mom would dress me up
and we would free lance opening tables in casinos getting comp tickets
for either hotel rooms or dinners. It was a lot of fun, we never paid for
anything. Yes, I was playing craps in Vegas at 15 year of age.
That was in the good days in Vegas when the mob was running things.
It has changed so much. Back then the only people that got killed in this
town were the gangsters, and they knew what they were getting into before
they started. But now there are murders here all the time. Weird people come here.
But yeah, in the old days in Vegas we knew every pit boss and they
looked forward to seeing us. My mom was a knock out then, a nightclub
singer, and at one time had a television show with Scatman Cruthers.
I am sure the pit bosses knew I was under 18, even though I am tall, but they
didn't care, they knew we would fill up a table in no time. Back then
we would throw the dice because it was customary that if anyone won
from your throw they would comp you a few bucks. Now you never see
that anymore. I just bet on others. I gave a $10
comp to a guy who rolled a field number I had some
money on and he didn't know what I was doing. I gave the boys
at the table a comp by betting the hard way for them
and left, Vegas isn't the same.
